Scars - "Leave Me in Autumn" (1981) Old Grey Whistle Test

Another great Scottish post-punk band that appeared at the dawn of the 1980s, Edinburgh's the Scars only released one album, and in my estimation, it deserves far more recognition than it gets- love the bass playing on this...

  1. Ah, the Scars ... their only album (produced by Penetration bassist Robert Blamire) was way underrated. I have some 1978 demos, both Peel sessions and live in Groningen, Holland 1981 - happy to share, just let me know. Cheers, Dave Sez.

    1. Dave, thank you!

I would definitely be interested in the Scars material. Do you happen to have a rip of the "Adult/ery" single in lossless as well?

  2. Wish I did have, but no, no Scars lossless at all, and only a measly @160 rip of the single ... in fact, everything I have by the Scars is at measly bitrate except the expanded Author! Author! @ 320. What I do have are both Peel Sessions (@ 128), and a Live and Demos set @ vbr 275-300 kbps:

    Hopeless Romantic - demo
    Romance By Mail - demo
    Slime - demo
    Turn Me On - Peel
    Remember Me - Peel
Je T'aime le Mort - Peel
    Author Author - Peel
    All about you - live
    Aquarama - live
    David - live
Je T'aime le Mort - live
Leave Me in the Autumn - live
    Obsessions - live
Remember Me - live Groningen NL 1981 (@160).

I've written to you in the meanwhile, so awaiting instructions ... cheers, Dave Sez.
