Feel free to make a request. While we probably can't fill all of them, your ideas help give direction to the blog. Also, if you do make a request, please be patient, as the main focus of this blog is original content (stories/reviews/histories), our posts take some time to put together, thank you, voixautre & sister ray
hi is there anyway you could post Dean & Britta's 13 Most Beautiful Love Songs and the Nikki Sudden and Rowland S. Howard collaborations? Thank you. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, yes, those are both great suggestions. I will post the Dean & Britta very soon on the first installment of the Velvet Underground series, thanks for visiting the blog!
Deletep.s. I am a big Nikki Sudden fan. Which album are do you want the most?
Thank you so much. I am not very familiar with Nikki Sudden but am just getting into him, so whatever you can suggest. I really love Rowland's stuff, but I've only heard "Don't Explain" from stuff they did together. I just found your blog but I enjoyed looking at the past entries on the other one. :)
DeleteI will be posting 13 Most Beautiful in the next post, which will be the first installment of my series on the Velvets. I will get some Nikki Sudden up too. Robespierre's Velvet Basement is probably the best one, though Howard isn't on it. I would like to post Howard's final two solo albums as well. Have you heard a band with Howard and Sudden's brother Epic Soundtracks called These Immortal Souls?
ReplyDeletethank you so much. I have heard TIS, but didn't realize Epic and Nikki were brothers! very interesting.. thanks a lot for the Velvet post, I appreciate it.
DeleteWelcome back! This is going to be good, since i only became aware of previous blog not long before you know what, so i missed out on a lot.
ReplyDeleteRequest wise i'll drop some sounds i'll be interested in.
Felt (UK), ANY Flying Nun stuf (Chills, The Clean, Snapper, Sraightjacket Fits, etc,), For Against (US), Eleventh Dream Day, Opal & related, Mirrors (US), Damon & Naomi (with Ghost/ Kurihara), Epic Soundtracks, Wipers, Thin White Rope, Leatherface (UK) Is there anything there that might be a possibility? I forgot, any reply to babyghost, maybe next time i'll remember.
Hi, those are all great suggestions and many I had already planned to post anyway. I will post some Thin White Rope in the little Paisley series I'm doing, the opal will be in the second installment of the Mazzy series. I've been dying to post some Felt, and Snapper would be a great one. Thank you!
Deleteany chance you'd be able to upload Women's s/t?
ReplyDeleteI will see what I can do :)
DeleteHi! I'm glad to see you back. Could you reup The Fall - Live at the Witch Trials (1979) Expanded Edition (Bonus Disc), it would be great.

DeleteI second the Chameleons.
DeleteHi, really enjoyed your previous blog. I was wondering if you could reupload the 2009 deluxe edition of I Am the Cosmos by Chris Bell.
ReplyDeleteSome other suggestions:
No Wave bands - DNA, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, James Chance and the Contortions, Glenn Branca
Thank you.
Hi, Chris Bell Deluxe edition is definitely going to be re-posted here. The no-wave suggestions are interesting- I posted Teenage Jesus and the Jerks on the HolyFuckingShit blog awhile back
DeleteI'm SO glad you are blogging again. Your posts have opened a new world to me and the music has helped me through so much of life.
ReplyDeleteAnd now for my selfish request: Any chance of a re-up of the Epic Soundtracks solo albums? In particular, Change My Life.
Many thanks!
(btw, what happened to tolkkii?)
Anonymous,
Deletethank you for your message. I mean really, thank you. My heart is aching tonight, and I know just what you mean about music helping through much of life. I would have given up long ago without it. I will do an Epic Soundtracks post in the near future, and probably post everything. I'm not sure what happened to Tolkkii. The old gang is showing up one by one. I'm hoping everyone ends up coming back
I am so happy to see you back.
ReplyDeleteYou were definitely missed.
Could you possibly reload 'Thank You Friends - The Ardent Records Story'.
You had it up on your previous blog, and I loved it.
But, alas, one dead hard drive later, I am lacking.
Thank you,
and welcome back.
JB

Great Blog, Congrats!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to see if it was possible if you re-up or post again the Echo & The Bunnymen discography (Remastered & Expanded Editions)... I lost my files and can't seem to find these albums anywhere on the web.
Thank you in advance and once again Congrats!!!
I'm always on the lookout for LIVE recordings (FM and SBD) in lossless format of . . . .

its a movie but i keep loonkin a hd version of the 30th century man
Thank you for your new blog !
( do you know and like the greg foat group?)
Took me a while to notice but I'm glad you're back.
ReplyDeleteIf you could get some FCS North in here (especially their self-titled debut) that'd be amazing. They've never been very popular and this could bring some much deserved attention to them.
Bare Minimum is another band that I haven't seen much of on the internet.
I'd love some back story on Modern English. They are known for their radio friendly dribble, but the first album, Mesh and Lace, was pretty brilliant. A classic 4 AD listen.
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeletecould you please reup Sarah Records: Glass Arcade (1991),
can't find it anywhere.
Thanks
Jürgen
